- Seriously, though, this is a wonderful piece of news. The "Samaritan" is truly a hero...the kind of hero we all should emulate. And, although I know I'm naive, I really believe there are more people out there who would help than turn away.

- Given the number of overweight people, I think any business would be crazy to risk a significant number of customers going elsewhere. If they are that rude and care so little for their customers, I certainly wouldn't want to patronize them.

- Obviously, I'm over-simplifying, but wouldn't it be refreshing if someone said, "I AM responsible for this, and I intend to make amends." If BP hired this company, they are responsible. But so am I, for not being more proactive in using and supporting alternative energy sources.

- Just because we live in an age of instant technology does not mean that everything can be resolved at lightening speed. We must keep the faith and realize that it's going to take more than a year to resolve what was handled recklessly for eight years.
